The Enneagram has been an important and valuable discovery on my spiritual journey.  The Enneagram has its roots in ancient history; in the past century it has evolved into a modern synthesis of several ancient wisdom and spiritual traditions from around the world.  It combines psychology, cosmology, spirituality and metaphysics to both explain the evolution of human consciousness and define nine classic types of human personality and their underlying essence.  The Enneagram offers tremendous insights into our lower and higher levels of consciousness, and our three core elements of intuition (instinct), mind (head) and heart (passion and emotion).

By understanding our dominant personality type within the Enneagram, it is possible to become aware of underlying patterns of behaviour and thought systems that get in the way of true authenticity and essence.  Aspects of the Enneagram can help to understand and transform our social, sexual and relationship issues.  It's also possible to explore how 'healthy' or 'unhealthy' our present attitudes and behaviours are in our current experience of life.   It's been a particularly useful tool in my own spiritual awakening and re-discovering my own heart-centredness.

The adaptable, success-oriented type. Threes are self-assured, attractive, and charming. Ambitious, competent, and energetic, they can also be status-conscious and highly driven for advancement. They are diplomatic and poised, but can also be overly concerned with their image and what others think of them. They typically have problems with workaholism and competitiveness. At their Best: self-accepting, authentic, everything they seem to be—role models who inspire others.
