Three new governance-related publications have now been placed online for the benefit of trustees and senior managers.  Each has been researched and prepared by Tim Pickles on behalf of Help the Hospices.

The Charities Act 2006 briefing is an illustrated slide sequence detailing the implications of the new legislation for hospices.

Governance Matters summarises the findings and provides detailed guidance and reference materials on how to ensure that a hospice is fully compliant with the charity regulations.  This follows 48 review visits to hospices carried out by the Charity Commission between 2001 and 2006 identifying 285 recommendations and action points for the governance and management of those hospices.

A Guide to Recruiting Hospice Trustees is a practical guide packed full of suggestions and tips to help hospices recruit high quality and effective trustees.
